Teams at BGC Okanagan

Provides strategic and practical HR support across the employee lifecycle. Advises leaders on employee and labour relations, performance, attendance, investigations, accommodations, leaves, recruitment, onboarding, and policy application. Supports learning, engagement, workplace safety, HR records, and organizational initiatives while interpreting collective agreements and British Columbia legislation. Requires collaboration with the Manager, People and Culture on complex matters.

Plans and delivers recreation activities and events for children, youth, and families. Oversees daily program operations, facilities, equipment, policies, licensing standards, records, and reporting. Supports program development and evaluation, promotes services through community outreach, coordinates referrals with service providers, and represents the organization at external events.

Supports school-age childcare programs by planning recreational and educational activities, supervising children, mentoring Activity Leaders, communicating with families, managing behavior, preparing snacks, and ensuring health, safety, licensing, and agency standards. May drive club vans to transport children from school. Casual hours are Monday to Friday, primarily from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
