Lead and deliver medium-to-large software initiatives for Betterment’s customer-facing financial applications. Build full-stack experiences using frontend frameworks, APIs, relational databases, and SQL while maintaining performance, security, and quality. Collaborate with Product, Design, and Mobile teams, mentor engineers, manage cross-team projects, apply software development best practices, and use AI coding tools judiciously.

Build and maintain consumer-facing mobile applications using React Native, JavaScript, and TypeScript. Own medium-sized features from design through release, collaborate with product, design, and full-stack engineering teams, and ensure application performance, security, accessibility, and quality. Resolve production issues, write design documentation, mentor less experienced engineers, improve developer experience, and use AI coding tools responsibly in production.

Translate SEC and FINRA regulations into compliance workflows, procedures, process maps, and control documentation. Maintain compliance program infrastructure in Jira and Claude, identify process gaps, improve operational workflows, and partner with business teams to implement practical compliance requirements. Support program management across multiple compliance workstreams while communicating clearly and working effectively amid ambiguity.
