Teams at Bedrock Ocean Exploration

Process and analyze multibeam, sidescan, magnetometer, and sub-bottom data; identify artifacts and anomalies; assess data quality; create client data products and reports; explain interpretations, limitations, and uncertainty to customers; contribute to ocean-data standards, processing workflows, survey planning, and vehicle improvements.

Own global logistics for autonomous vehicles, sensors, batteries, spares, and tooling. Manage international shipping, customs, ATA carnets, export controls, ITAR, dangerous goods, carrier relationships, shipping and receiving, and shipment visibility. Build logistics systems, country-specific customs playbooks, compliance procedures, carrier scorecards, and lead-time standards. The role is hands-on at the Richmond facility, requires close coordination across operations and leadership, and includes occasional international travel.

Own the architecture and technical direction of autonomy and vehicle software for autonomous underwater vehicles. Lead cross-disciplinary robotics challenges spanning onboard software, GNC, state estimation, sensing, fault management, testing, field operations, and fleet-scale deployment. Improve unattended mission reliability through FDIR, safe-state behaviors, telemetry, logging, sensor synchronization, OTA updates, and rollback. Mentor engineers, establish quality standards, manage the roadmap, support on-call operations, and drive practical AI adoption.
