Unpaid career-exploration event introducing college students to careers in logistics and B2B sales. Participants attend an information session, tour BBI Logistics’ Tampa office, shadow logistics coordinators and sales representatives, observe customer and carrier interactions, and network with employees about career paths and opportunities for students and recent graduates.

Generate and qualify leads, conduct 80+ daily cold calls, build customer and carrier relationships, negotiate freight pricing, and manage shipments using proprietary TMS software. The role requires problem-solving, proactive communication, resilience, organization, and willingness to work beyond normal hours or on weekends. Paid training and mentorship are provided, with a base salary and uncapped commission.

Assist the accounting team with carrier payment inquiries, rate and payment-term verification, load payment processing, paperwork entry in the TMS, customer billing, overdue paperwork follow-up, and electronic check preparation. The internship provides hands-on experience in bookkeeping, payroll-related processes, recordkeeping, and transportation finance while developing accounting and organizational skills.
