Responsibilities include managing requirements verification, developing and executing software tests, analyzing results, resolving issues with cross-functional engineering teams, documenting outcomes, and improving verification processes. The role requires advanced Python skills, Linux and MATLAB knowledge, and familiarity with aerospace software environments, with C++, GNCP systems, IBM DOORS, and Orion experience preferred.

Leads integrated risk management for the Advanced Light Source Upgrade project, including risk registers, workshops, quantitative cost and schedule analysis, Monte Carlo simulations, contingency assessments, and executive reporting. Integrates risk with schedules, cost estimates, project controls, forecasts, and change management. Supports rebaselines, recovery plans, DOE reviews, independent cost reviews, and major project decisions while improving risk governance and mitigation accountability.

Designs detailed 3D mechanical parts, complex assemblies, fabrication drawings, and engineering documentation for the ALS-U project. Creates manufacturing-ready drawing packages with GD&T, BOMs, and assembly layouts; develops interface and integration models; manages revision-controlled CAD documentation; and collaborates with engineers, scientists, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues and support fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning.

Supports the GPS Positioning, Navigation, and Timing enterprise systems engineering and integration team. Responsibilities include integrated system design, dependency analysis, engineering and data modeling, system performance testing, data analysis, risk and opportunity management, and coordination across space, ground, and user segments for DoD programs.

Designs, operates, maintains, and improves process and facility water systems supporting accelerator infrastructure and ALS operations. Responsibilities include hydraulic and thermal engineering, equipment specification, water treatment, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, project management, commissioning, documentation, safety compliance, and coordination with engineering, facilities, contractors, and operations teams. The role serves as the technical authority for reliable cooling and ultra-pure water systems in a high-availability scientific facility.

Creates electrical CAD models, schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, BOMs, cable schedules, and manufacturing-ready engineering documentation. Maintains revision-controlled CAD files and documentation in PLM/PDM systems, incorporates engineering changes, and supports fabrication, assembly, installation, testing, and commissioning. Monitors and supports a 24x7 high-performance computing data center, triages system and facility alerts, develops monitoring and automation tools, maintains reliable software configurations, and coordinates maintenance and incident response. The role requires Linux command-line expertise, programming and scripting skills, network security knowledge, cross-team collaboration, and onsite physical and logical data center inspections. Familiarity with ServiceNow, ITSM, Kubernetes, observability platforms, and agentic AI automation is valuable.
