Performs complex, high-volume legal billing activities, including preparing proformas, generating invoices, managing electronic billing setups and rejections, and handling discounts, rate exceptions, split billing, and insurance billing. Communicates with attorneys, staff, clients, and vendors; maintains billing instructions and records; analyzes time and fee data; supports billing training; and assists with general accounting duties while maintaining confidentiality.

Barnes & Thornburg seeks second-year law students for its 2027 Summer Associate Program. Applicants must submit a cover letter, resume, writing sample, and law school transcript. Selected candidates will be contacted for interviews. The program includes paid time off and eligibility to participate in the firm's profit-sharing plan through pre-tax or Roth 401(k) contributions.

Supports the Client Growth and Marketing team with drafting, editing, proofreading, website and social media content, marketing research, digital marketing, event communications, records maintenance, and administrative project support. The intern collaborates with attorneys and business professionals, manages multiple deadlines, and handles confidential information in an onsite law firm environment.
