Supports the Head of Core Compliance by administering the Code of Ethics, reviewing personal trading, conflicts of interest, gifts and entertainment, and outside business activities. The role also supports AML and KYC reviews, regulatory oversight, governance reporting, books and records requirements, policy maintenance, compliance training, forensic testing, and technology initiatives. The senior associate handles complex compliance matters, identifies process improvements, and participates in system enhancements.

Provides legal advice and support for Barings investment funds, including fund formation, structuring, capital raising, distribution, marketing, investor negotiations, documentation, and regulatory matters. Manages outside counsel relationships and collaborates with internal teams across alternative investment strategies. The role requires expertise in fund structures, securities regulations, drafting, negotiation, and private wealth distribution.

10-week summer internship supporting underwriting, market research, financial analysis and modeling, risk assessment, portfolio monitoring, valuation, and investment memo preparation. Interns will learn approved technology and AI-enabled tools, assist on special projects and presentations, and may be considered for the Analyst Program upon graduation.
