Ensure the reliability, availability, scalability, and performance of Barclays’ mission-critical identity platform. Responsibilities include monitoring, capacity planning, incident response, root cause analysis, automation, performance optimization, observability, and SRE integration into software development. The role operates cloud-native infrastructure across AWS and Azure, applies infrastructure as code and container orchestration, reduces operational toil, and collaborates with engineering teams on resilient, secure platforms. It also involves mentoring, technical leadership, risk management, and stakeholder partnership.

Develops data-driven credit and portfolio growth strategies using data extraction, cleaning, pipelines, statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling. Analyzes pricing and credit card portfolio data, builds decision models and business cases, identifies risks and opportunities, and presents actionable recommendations to stakeholders and senior leadership. The role also involves influencing strategy, managing risk and controls, and collaborating across business functions.

Provides senior legal support to Barclays’ global Markets business, advising on trading activities, legal and reputational risks, regulatory compliance, derivatives, securities financing, close-out netting, collateral arrangements, and regulatory capital requirements. The role involves legal research, document creation and review, regulatory risk management, stakeholder advice, legal training, policy development, and support for litigation, arbitration, and regulatory investigations.
