Summer engineering interns apply standard civil engineering techniques, assist with project design and engineering duties, and support civil, water, and wastewater projects. Work may include municipal infrastructure, transportation, land and site development, water treatment, wastewater treatment, distribution systems, pump stations, SCADA systems, facility planning, and technical documentation.

Support wastewater infrastructure projects from planning and design through construction. Prepare plans, specifications, reports, perform engineering calculations, use engineering analysis software, support construction administration, coordinate with surveying staff, and help meet project schedules, budgets, and quality expectations.
