Staff Accountant supports daily finance operations through journal entries, account reconciliations, revenue and expense processing, AP/AR transactions, cash reconciliation, financial reporting, audit documentation, and internal controls. The role requires accurate, compliant work under senior review and collaboration with university departments and vendors.

The Senior Accountant maintains accurate university financial records, oversees reconciliations, revenue recognition, AP/AR, cash management, month-end close, financial reporting, and audit support. The role reviews junior staff work, strengthens internal controls, maintains accounting system integrity, and improves financial processes. It requires collaboration across departments, strong GAAP and nonprofit accounting knowledge, and proficiency with accounting software and Excel.

Supports Canvas LMS administration and educational technology while partnering with faculty on instructional design, online, hybrid, and HyFlex course development. Provides consultation, training, professional development, accessibility and Quality Matters reviews, and guidance on AI and emerging technologies. Evaluates educational tools for instructional value, usability, accessibility, and integration, develops learning resources, and collaborates with Information Technology and academic departments to improve teaching and learning.
