Produces accurate technical documentation for Badger Meter products by researching complex information, collaborating with developers, engineers, product managers, and subject matter experts, and organizing content for clarity and reuse. Maintains department standards, templates, and style guides while identifying single-sourcing opportunities. Requires strong technical writing, communication, collaboration, attention to detail, and proficiency with InDesign, Word, Excel, Illustrator, or Photoshop.

Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Python, SQL, React, Java, and REST APIs. Build scalable backend services and data-driven features for water-management products, working with large-scale time-series data. Collaborate with product, design, QA, and engineering teams; troubleshoot technical issues; participate in architecture decisions; review code; mentor junior developers; and improve engineering practices. The role uses AI-assisted development tools and follows a hybrid schedule with at least three days onsite in Los Gatos, California.

Manage and coordinate responses to requests for proposals, including reviewing requirements, gathering product, service, pricing, and compliance information, completing questionnaires, and submitting final proposals. Collaborate with proposal, sales, legal, marketing, writers, and subject-matter experts to produce accurate, high-quality responses. Maintain response software, support contract extensions, answer information requests, and improve processes for gathering and managing proposal data.
