Axis Community Health Benefits Overview

Provides front-desk support in a healthcare clinic by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, registering patients, verifying insurance, determining financial eligibility, maintaining confidentiality, completing forms, and supporting clinical staff. Maintains clean, organized clinic areas and participates in meetings and training. This is a temporary six-month position with occasional travel to other health centers.

Leads fundraising and philanthropic revenue growth across major gifts, annual giving, planned giving, and grants. Oversees development and communications staff, grant strategy, donor stewardship, public relations, organizational messaging, government advocacy, and community partnerships. Serves as a spokesperson and senior leadership team member, representing the health center to funders, officials, policymakers, community organizations, and stakeholders. Monitors FQHC-related legislative and reporting requirements and supports strategic planning and organizational visibility.

Provides nutrition counseling, breastfeeding support, health education, and individualized care planning for women, infants, and children in a WIC/FQHC setting. Assesses nutritional needs, documents care and referrals in WIC systems, issues food benefits, conducts classes, supports breastfeeding, collects measurements, coordinates with healthcare providers, and maintains confidentiality and compliance with WIC policies.
