Supports reinsurance claims handling under senior guidance by reviewing notifications and documentation, evaluating coverage and financial exposure, maintaining claim records, monitoring reserves and developments, communicating with brokers and cedants, and assisting with audits, reporting, analytics, compliance, and process improvements. Collaborates with underwriting, actuarial, finance, legal, and operations teams while developing technical expertise in reinsurance claims.

Leads complex specialty insurance claims involving coverage analysis, disputes, litigation, arbitration, outside counsel, discovery, and settlement strategy. Provides coverage guidance to claims teams, manages litigation costs and counsel panels, identifies portfolio-wide trends, supports underwriting inquiries, and collaborates with executives, brokers, insureds, reinsurers, auditors, and attorneys. Coaches claims professionals and ensures consistent, high-quality claims management across North American business lines.

Provides clerical and operational support to underwriting teams by preparing and reviewing policies, entering underwriting data, processing endorsements, maintaining files and diary systems, coordinating information requests, and following up on delinquent data. The role requires strong communication, organization, computer, multitasking, and Microsoft Office skills, with insurance underwriting knowledge and commercial insurance experience preferred.
