Researches and resolves unpaid, denied, incorrectly paid, and nonpaid healthcare claims. Reviews accounts, validates payments and adjustments, submits corrected claims or appeals, reconciles balances and refunds, monitors payer correspondence, and collaborates with internal departments. The role also provides reimbursement guidance and reports recurring third-party payment issues to support revenue cycle optimization.

Supports clinical information systems and EHR functionality through configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, upgrades, reporting, training, and user support. Translates clinical workflow needs into system enhancements, collaborates with IT teams, vendors, project managers, and clinical staff, and participates in implementations, quality improvement, and on-call support. Requires an active healthcare or clinical certification or license; a related bachelor’s degree and two years of experience are preferred.

Paid summer 2027 nursing internship under the direction of a Registered Nurse mentor. Provides patient care, develops and evaluates nursing care plans, educates patients and families, documents care, maintains safety and supplies, and collaborates with the healthcare team while completing nursing training.
