Supports the HS&E Department by conducting workplace, equipment, and environmental inspections; investigating accidents and safety concerns; recommending corrective actions; performing air monitoring and monthly safety inspections; responding to fires, hazardous material spills, and medical incidents; and ensuring compliance with OSHA, NFPA, company, state, and federal requirements. The role requires work in confined spaces, at heights, across vessels and worksites, on any shift, including holidays and on-call periods.

Summer internship opportunities supporting additive and advanced manufacturing, robotics, industrial automation, artificial intelligence, data analysis, and technical business development. Interns receive hands-on project ownership with daily guidance from senior employees at facilities in Charlottesville or Danville, Virginia. Perform marine fit-out joinery on submarines: layout, prefabricate and install bulkheads, doors, ceilings, furniture, shelving, consoles, ductwork and insulation. Operate woodworking and metalworking tools (including CNC shear/break, iron worker), read blueprints, perform material takeoffs, mount equipment, apply interior painting, and may direct assistants. Requires marine or comparable trade experience and proof of US Person status.
