Oversee systems engineering processes for ALMA telescope upgrade projects across the full lifecycle. Review architectures, requirements, subsystem designs, and technical documents; develop integration, verification, and validation plans; manage system reviews and configuration processes; coordinate with international partners; and participate in system integration and testing.

Lead systems engineering for the ngVLA Computing and Software System. Responsibilities include managing software requirements and traceability, defining interfaces and architectures, supporting verification and validation, applying MBSE and SysML/UML modeling, preparing design reviews, and connecting configuration and change management with Agile software practices. The role collaborates with architects, developers, hardware teams, and distributed project stakeholders in a research and development environment.

Leads all phases of the North American ALMA2040 project, providing scientific, technical, and programmatic direction. Responsibilities include organizing NRAO and community activities, leading Decadal Survey efforts, coordinating international partners, working with funding agencies, managing stakeholders, and providing project status reports. The role also allows time for independent astronomical research and requires domestic and international travel.
