Teams at Atom Computing

Leads and mentors a team of approximately five software engineers and quantum software engineers. Supports research-oriented scientific software and workflows, collaborates with physicists and mathematicians to develop production-grade software for fault-tolerant quantum computing, and delivers developer experiences for quantum error correction research and development. The role combines hands-on technical contributions, team leadership, software integration, and productization of prototype systems.

Lead systems engineering for future quantum computing systems, including requirements management, system architecture, MBSE, interface control, risk management, verification and validation, integration reviews, and technical planning. Serve as a technical integrator across quantum, hardware, software, controls, optical engineering, and theory teams. Support government program reviews, customer interactions, and development of system-level design and verification documentation.

The role involves designing high-performance control systems for quantum computing, focusing on embedded software, real-time systems, and hardware orchestration. Responsibilities include building firmware for SDRs, optimizing software for quantum hardware, and collaborating across disciplines.
