Teams at Atlas Data Storage

Develops, tests, validates, and troubleshoots custom hardware systems supporting a CMOS chip-based DNA synthesis platform. Collaborates with mechanical, chemical, and electrical engineers on experimental systems, production hardware, feasibility studies, tooling, fixtures, laboratory implementation, documentation, and data collection. The role also requires hands-on equipment assembly, design validation, experimental testing, and troubleshooting in an onsite laboratory environment.

Architects and implements distributed system and instrument software for DNA synthesis hardware. Develops high-performance, low-latency pipelines handling multi-gigabyte to terabyte-scale data while maintaining end-to-end integrity. Collaborates with hardware, electronics, and chemistry teams to build and troubleshoot complex systems. Provides senior technical leadership and applies expertise in C#, C++, or Rust, memory management, multithreading, messaging, and inter-process communication.

Architect and optimize distributed encoding and decoding pipelines across CPU and GPU platforms. Develop high-throughput, resource-efficient data processing systems, applying systems programming, parallel computing, concurrency, memory management, and hardware optimization. Collaborate with software and bioinformatics teams to integrate these pipelines into AtlasBase’s molecular computing and data storage ecosystem.
