The role involves guiding writers and editors, expanding contributor networks, ensuring editorial quality and diversity, shepherding pieces through copyediting and fact-checking, and collaborating across the newsroom on story presentation and distribution.

Reports and writes sophisticated, science-based stories about Americans’ changing health and wellness habits. The role involves analyzing scientific research, tracking emerging trends and policy shifts, developing influential sources, pitching stories, and producing both timely news coverage and ambitious long-form projects for a broad audience. Night, early-morning, and weekend work may occasionally be required.
