AstroForge Benefits Overview

Develop, implement, and test guidance, navigation, and control algorithms for asteroid-mining spacecraft. Work with aerospace engineers on attitude determination and control, state estimation, perception, vehicle autonomy, and related robotics challenges. The role includes software testing and debugging, potentially in hardware-in-the-loop environments, while providing mentorship and practical aerospace software experience.

Assists the hardware engineering team with developing, designing, and testing computer and electrical hardware components. Responsibilities include hands-on laboratory work such as soldering, hardware debugging, and using electronic equipment, while developing skills in Python, Altium Designer, and LTSpice. The intern works under supervision in a fast-paced aerospace environment and receives engineering mentorship.

Assist the integration and test team in developing flight-ready aerospace products under supervision. Responsibilities include supporting spacecraft integration and testing, performing hardware debugging, soldering, operating electronic equipment, and applying Python, scripting, and automation skills. The intern will work with engineering and science teams in a fast-paced environment while gaining practical experience with spacecraft design, system interfaces, and aerospace project development.
