Architect and build high-scale backend systems for payments, fraud detection, compliance, and user management. Lead cross-domain architecture decisions, optimize distributed microservices for reliability and performance, mentor engineers, establish engineering standards, and collaborate with product and compliance teams. The role requires expertise in Python, databases, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, system design, and financial integrations.

Designs, tests, and tunes transaction monitoring rules across payment rails; investigates escalated alerts and suspicious activity; analyzes transaction data with SQL; manages alert queues; prepares sponsor-bank referrals; and partners with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Operations to improve monitoring, controls, and workflows.

Build and operate backend features for payments, fraud detection, compliance, and user management. Design microservices, integrate with banks and card networks, improve performance and reliability, and contribute to architecture decisions. The role requires independent end-to-end delivery, collaboration with product and compliance teams, and development using Python, Flask, SQL/NoSQL databases, and cloud infrastructure.
