Provide trusted HR advice in a highly unionised, operational environment. Manage complex employee relations (disciplinary, grievance, attendance, capability), support restructures and TUPE, coach managers, liaise with Trade Unions, maintain HR records, drive absence management, support recruitment/onboarding, deliver manager training, and ensure compliance with employment law and data protection.

Support the Engineering Manager to run depot engineering operations: supervise technicians, allocate and plan workload, ensure safe servicing, maintenance and repair of heavy vehicles, manage parts/resources, improve fleet reliability, control engineering costs, and maintain KPI and regulatory compliance.

Manage the full bid lifecycle from qualification to submission and award. Develop persuasive bid content, design costed transport solutions, support pricing and commercial modelling, coordinate stakeholders and suppliers, maintain pipeline and CRM records, and assist mobilisation of successful bids.
