Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum
The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is a 98‑acre fusion museum near Tucson that combines a zoo, botanical garden, art gallery, natural history museum and aquarium. Founded in 1952, it focuses on conservation, research, education and public outreach about the Sonoran Desert, housing over 230 animal species and 1,200 plant taxa while operating exhibits, programs, publications and events to inspire stewardship of desert ecosystems.
