What It's Like to Work at Arity

Arity’s culture is unbeatable. After years of working in a typical corporate environment, I moved to Arity and immediately fell in love with the collaborative nature. My work is valued, I have autonomy, and I am on one team working towards one goal.

We are really passionate about appreciation and recognition. Individual success is rewarded through our recognition tool, Applause, allowing employees to recognize their peers with a monthly point allowance you can redeem for items. We also have a monthly recognition standup where we celebrate all the amazing things we have accomplished.

Arity has so much to offer for career growth and development. Growth is a regular topic of conversation I have with my boss. We have monthly “development” conversations where we’ve plotted out my personal career goals and how to reach those goals. I also have access to a multitude of learning resources, like LinkedIn Learning and monthly Learn Days

Part of my role at Arity is to enable other analytics team members by making our data easy to use. Given my geospatial background, I am most excited about the work we are doing unlocking driving behavior insights in the context of space.

Accessibility is super important to ensure everyone’s voice is heard! My favorite way to connect with the team is in-person, but Microsoft Teams messaging and video conferencing has become a vital day-to-day tool for our remote team. In addition to monthly Zoom team meetings, I also set aside office hours each week and encourage ‘walk-in’s’!

The biggest challenge we are tackling is identifying key traffic analytics of value to the public sector. This role is so important because these solutions involve supporting an initiative of Vision Zero, a strategy to eliminate all traffic fatalities and severe injuries, while increasing safe, healthy, and equitable mobility for all.
