Develop and operate scalable AI inference solutions for scientific workflows on HPC systems and AI accelerators. Build Python REST services, integrate AI models, optimize inference performance, and support distributed workloads involving batching, scheduling, memory management, and observability. Collaborate with scientific application teams, academic and industry partners, national laboratories, and agencies to advance AI-enabled scientific computing.

Leads a high-profile catalysis research group, setting scientific goals, directing fundamental and applied research, mentoring researchers, securing funding, managing major programs, collaborating with industry and academic partners, and publishing influential findings. Conducts research on homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis, catalytic materials, reaction mechanisms, and novel processes while contributing to scientific conferences and programmatic growth.

Provides executive and administrative support to two Deputy Associate Laboratory Directors and other Photon Sciences leaders. Responsibilities include managing calendars and email, scheduling meetings, coordinating domestic and international travel, preparing presentations and reports, arranging conferences and onsite visits, managing event logistics, and handling sensitive information with discretion. The role requires strong organization, communication, judgment, confidentiality, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
