Teams at Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES)

Coordinate and lead middle school athletic programs, including scheduling sporting events, arranging transportation, collaborating with districts and schools, and managing coaches, spectators, students, and families. Attend home and away athletic events throughout the year while ensuring compliance with sports rules and youth athletics procedures. The role requires strong organization, management skills, and advocacy for students, along with coaching experience and required Connecticut safety certifications.

Supports special and regular education teachers by assisting students individually or in small groups with academic, social, and physical development. Supervises students during transitions, assignments, activities, drills, assemblies, play periods, and field trips; organizes materials, maintains a safe learning environment, follows behavior plans, and reports observations to lead teachers.

Substitute Teaching Artists support instruction for high school students across Dance, Music, Theatre, Creative Writing, and Visual Arts. Responsibilities include creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment, communicating effectively, managing classrooms, and applying professional artistic expertise to arts education.
