Supports ArchCity Defenders’ development team through grant research and writing, donor and funder relationship development, database updates in Blackbaud, event planning, communications, and weekly achievement summaries. The intern will identify prospective donors and partners, create fundraising materials, collaborate with staff, and advance the organization’s racial and economic justice mission.

Provides holistic, trauma-informed case management and social services to clients experiencing poverty and legal-system involvement. Responsibilities include intakes, bio-psycho-social assessments, crisis intervention, resource coordination, documentation, client advocacy, and collaboration with attorneys, social workers, community organizations, and families. The practicum student will also support mezzo- and macro-level projects, trainings, and community empowerment initiatives.

Legal interns conduct fact and legal research, draft memoranda, motions, pleadings, and other documents, assist with discovery and investigations, interview clients or class members, observe court proceedings, and support interdisciplinary advocacy teams. The role emphasizes client communication, legal writing, problem-solving, independence, racial and economic justice, and community engagement. Interns work in person in St. Louis from June 1 through July 30, 2027, with a mandatory orientation and a Monday-through-Friday schedule.

Supports ArchCity Defenders’ communications team by developing digital and print designs, creating website and social media content, taking photos and videos, updating WordPress, researching social and policy issues, and analyzing social media metrics. The intern will present communications ideas, collaborate with attorneys and staff, attend team meetings, and help advance the organization’s racial and economic justice mission. This is an in-person summer internship in St. Louis, generally running June 1 through July 30, 2027.

Supports ACD’s Communications team through copywriting, editing, photography, video production, social media and website content, media clip tracking, and research on social justice and policy issues. The intern develops communications ideas, attends team meetings, collaborates with attorneys and staff, and advances the organization’s mission through media advocacy and community-focused storytelling.

Supports community organizing and civic engagement among people impacted by systems of oppression. Responsibilities include conducting interviews, coordinating meetings with elected officials, facilitating political education and movement meetings, planning outreach and canvassing, phone and text banking, preparing community members for testimony, attending government meetings, documenting activities, and supporting social work services. The internship is unpaid but may include a stipend of up to $4,200 and requires in-person work in St. Louis during June and July 2027.

Supports ArchCity Defenders’ Communications team by creating and editing written, photographic, video, website, social media, and print content. Responsibilities include researching social justice issues, developing communications ideas, tracking media coverage, attending team meetings, and collaborating with staff to advance the organization’s mission. The internship is part-time, lasts 8–12 weeks, and is primarily conducted in person in St. Louis.
