Coordinates academic journal production from manuscript acceptance through publication, managing schedules, stakeholders, workflow records, quality checks, metadata, author corrections, digital publishing outputs, DOI and Crossref activities, invoices, and compliance requirements. The role reviews copyedited and typeset content across PDF, XML, HTML, and EPUB formats while supporting continuous workflow improvement.

Oversee daily office operations, facilities, suppliers, procurement, budgets, inventories, employee onboarding and offboarding, workplace safety, compliance records, executive administration, travel coordination, events, and internal support. The role manages office resources, contractors, service providers, records, correspondence, and employee assets while maintaining a professional and well-functioning workplace.

Leads AOSIS’s scholarly books publishing programme, including acquisitions, proposal and manuscript evaluation, peer-review oversight, editorial decision-making, author and institutional relationship management, publication ethics, open-access licensing, quality assurance, and final publication approval. The role also supports programme growth, digital publishing workflows, scholarly discoverability, and continuous improvement of publishing policies and processes.
