Own and improve the embedded Linux platform powering humanoid robots, including kernel configuration, hardware bring-up, device integration, provisioning, flashing, OTA upgrades, diagnostics, recovery, and deployment tooling. Debug low-level issues across boot, networking, storage, peripherals, and system stability. Collaborate with firmware, electrical, autonomy, AI, and product teams to define hardware/software interfaces, validate platform changes, and improve reliability in manufacturing and field environments.

Design and build Andromeda’s mission autonomy system for humanoid robots, covering long-duration decision-making, behavior orchestration, simulation, safety degradation, deployment, monitoring, and evaluation. The role leads architecture across autonomy, conversational AI, perception, audio, and platform teams while remaining hands-on with software, robot hardware, and real-world deployments. The engineer will establish action interfaces, simulation-based benchmarks, rollout processes, observability, failure recovery, and operational patterns for autonomous robot missions.

Design, implement, and maintain Abi’s production autonomy stack, including path planning, SLAM, collision avoidance, perception integration, simulation, and safety mechanisms. Harden software and integrated hardware systems through testing and validation, support a deployed robot fleet, debug sensors and effectors, improve deployment processes and user experience, and contribute to systems engineering across the product lifecycle. Lead cross-functional technical discussions and perform customer site visits for testing and feature validation.

Lead the hardware organisation to take humanoid robots from prototype to scalable manufacturing. Own strategy, cross-functional execution, partner management, reliability, quality, and build a multidisciplinary hardware team to deliver robust mechatronic products at scale.

Own day-to-day financial operations and forecasting for a humanoid robotics business. Build and maintain corporate financial models, lead budgeting, perform monthly variance and cash-flow analysis, modernize finance tech (ERP, inventory, billing), automate finance operations with AI/LLMs, coordinate external accountants across US and Australia, and deliver management reporting and dashboards to inform business decisions.

Provide high-level executive support to the CEO and COO (calendar management, travel and expense reconciliation, meeting coordination) while managing on-site office operations, culture, events, shipments, and supplies. Leverage Google Workspace, scheduling tools, Ramp, and AI productivity tools to increase executive efficiency and maintain a vibrant San Francisco office.
