Set up and operate hand grinders and high-speed grinding machines to remove excess material, prepare and finish metal parts per prints and specifications. Inspect, measure, mark defects, select wheels/belts, record production data, maintain equipment and housekeeping, and cross-train on other machines. Work in a shop environment with occasional overtime.

Set up and operate conventional and special-purpose machining equipment to fabricate metal parts to tolerance. Read blueprints, select tools and fixtures, edit CNC programs, perform trial runs, verify dimensions with precision measuring tools, perform preventive maintenance, and collaborate with engineers to resolve machining issues while adhering to safety procedures.

Set up, operate, and adjust manual lathes and milling machines to produce precision components to blueprint specifications. Read blueprints, calculate dimensions and tolerances, select tooling and feeds, and verify parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Maintain and sharpen tools, troubleshoot equipment, and follow safety and quality standards.
