Performs clinical laboratory testing in hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry, microbiology, transfusion service, and serology, following procedure manuals and demonstrating required technical skills during evening shift.

Performs clinical laboratory testing across hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry, transfusion service, and serology. Conducts calibrations, QC interpretation, specimen collection (including pediatric venipuncture, ABGs, swabs), medical necessity screening, and draws patients at affiliated clinics. Represents the department professionally and follows procedure manuals.

Review inpatient medical records concurrently to ensure accurate clinical documentation, MS-DRG assignment, and capture of severity/comorbidities. Query and collaborate with physicians, analyze documentation trends, manage departmental data and reporting, support PI initiatives, submit registry and regulatory data, and educate staff to improve documentation quality and coding accuracy.
