Manufacturing Engineer I develops and improves processes, equipment, tooling, and instructions across the product life cycle. Responsibilities include DFM feedback, cost and lead-time estimates, quoting, process development, design of experiments, new product and process launches, production troubleshooting, continuous improvement, change control, customer support, and audit compliance. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams and supports aerospace, defense, medical, and industrial manufacturing operations.

Develops and implements manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, cost estimates, and work instructions across the product lifecycle. Leads new product and process development, design-for-manufacturability reviews, experimentation, continuous improvement, change control, audits, and production problem resolution. Collaborates with engineering, quality, sales, purchasing, planning, suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams to ensure safe, compliant, cost-effective production.

Supports fiber optic manufacturing by developing process instructions, tools, validations, and continuous-improvement solutions. Troubleshoots production issues, improves process capability, monitors yields and cycle rates, supports cable qualification testing, approves PPAP/APQP documentation, and assists with equipment installation and debugging. Collaborates with design, product management, quality, and production teams while providing training and supporting cost-reduction initiatives.
