Provides hands-on experience across accounting and finance functions, including financial reporting, broker-dealer accounting, investment accounting, FP&A, expense management, journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, benchmarking, reporting packages, and project cost analysis. The intern works part-time during the academic year and full-time during the summer in a hybrid arrangement.

Supports reinsurance operations through data retrieval, analysis, reporting, transaction administration, reconciliations, validation, exception resolution, and financial reporting. Maintains documentation, supports audits and compliance controls, and identifies process and data-quality improvements. The role also develops queries and reports and contributes to AI-driven operational efficiencies. It is a hybrid position based in Cincinnati, Ohio, or Lincoln, Nebraska, requiring an associate degree or equivalent experience and less than two years of related experience.

Coordinates payroll processing, including data entry, direct deposits, off-cycle payments, payroll audits, balancing, employee and retiree payments, tax-related corrections, records, and year-end close activities. Maintains the time and labor management system, responds to payroll inquiries, supports issue resolution, and assists with tax changes, process improvements, and system updates.
