Teams at The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)

Manages ASHA’s political action committee, including fundraising, disbursements, financial reporting, compliance, and lobbying disclosures. Evaluates political candidates, organizes political events, develops advocacy and lobbying strategies, collaborates on communications and grassroots materials, produces political newsletters, and supports federal policy priorities. The role also builds relationships with lawmakers and stakeholders and serves as an ex-officio member of the ASHA-PAC Board.

Leads financial reporting, accounting compliance, audit support, grants management, fixed asset and lease accounting, internal controls, and regulatory reporting for ASHA and affiliated entities. Provides technical guidance on U.S. GAAP, nonprofit accounting standards, accounting systems, process improvements, and emerging regulations. Oversees grant compliance and Federal Election Commission reporting while supporting accurate, timely financial information and sound organizational stewardship.

Provides multichannel customer service for ASHA members and constituents by answering inquiries, updating accounts, processing payments and orders, troubleshooting online access, promoting products and services, and resolving issues. The role also supports outbound campaigns, internal referrals, reception services, and occasional convention attendance while maintaining accurate knowledge of organizational policies and offerings.
