Teams at American Preparatory Academy

Mentors elementary students in grades 2–6 with homework and most academic subjects in an after-school classroom. The role includes supporting three daily 40-minute periods, using effective study skills and techniques, communicating with students, and maintaining reliability, punctuality, and patience. Training is provided before starting. This is a part-time position of up to 20 hours weekly from August through May.

Full-time substitute teacher providing instruction, classroom management, and student assessment in the absence of regular teachers. Adapts lesson plans across subjects and grade levels, communicates with staff and families, maintains records, and participates in professional development while collaborating with school personnel.

Supervise and support K-12 students in an after-school music program: monitor homework, assist with Sistema music activities, and help prepare students for future education. Work scheduled afternoons on specified weekdays.
