Conduct and lead applied research on PK–12 education finance and funding policy. Design studies, analyze fiscal and administrative data, estimate costs of adequate education, support policymakers, prepare reports and presentations, pursue funding proposals, and mentor junior staff.

Provide technical assistance and capacity-building to K-12, postsecondary, and youth-serving organizations. Develop training materials, deliver coaching and professional development, create implementation measures and reports, lead projects and teams, support business development and client coordination, and represent AIR. Travel to sites as needed (up to 25%).

The Sr. Economist will develop frameworks, manage data analysis, conduct policy analysis, and provide leadership on business development. The role also involves client presentations and supervision of project quality.
