Responsibilities include cleaning large datasets, developing forest growth models and predictive tools, automating workflows, integrating geospatial data, and contributing to forest inventory, silviculture, harvesting, and decision-support projects. The intern collaborates with forestry professionals and shares analytical tools and insights.

Summer forestry intern supporting forest inventory, timber sale layout, streamside buffer delineation, harvesting inspections, tract inspections, and GIS/GPS field applications. The role provides mentorship, hands-on training, outdoor field experience, and exposure to consulting forestry and sustainable land management. Candidates should be pursuing forestry, natural resources, or a related degree, communicate well, use Microsoft Office, hold a valid driver’s license, and work comfortably outdoors.

Participate in hands-on consulting forestry and land management activities, including forest inventory, timber sale layout, streamside buffer delineation, harvesting inspections, GIS/GPS applications, and tract inspections. Work outdoors with experienced foresters while developing field navigation, data analysis, communication, and collaboration skills.
