The Safety Coordinator conducts inspections across construction and utility sites, monitors OSHA and company compliance, investigates incidents, coordinates safety training and certifications, enforces permits and stop-work procedures, and supports traffic control, excavation safety, and loss prevention. The role prepares inspection and incident reports, coordinates workers’ compensation reporting, tests safety equipment, participates in project meetings, and recommends corrective actions. Bilingual English/Spanish communication, field independence, site travel, and construction safety experience are required.

Operate skid steer loaders for site preparation, rough and finish grading, material handling, and subgrade shaping for sidewalks, concrete, asphalt, and landscaping. Read plans, grade stakes, and survey controls; perform equipment inspections and basic maintenance; coordinate with foremen, surveyors, and construction crews; maintain safe, clean jobsites; and assist with labor tasks as needed. Work occurs outdoors on active construction projects and may include overtime, weekends, and travel.

Operate excavator to dig trenches, load and move materials, clear and level ground. Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance, operate other heavy machinery (roller, loader, skidsteer) as needed, follow safety procedures, communicate with crew, and identify/address hazards on site.
