Leads foundation and donor communications by writing grant proposals, reports, letters of inquiry, stewardship materials, and organizational messaging. Synthesizes complex civil liberties issues for varied audiences, fact-checks content, researches prospective funders, develops cultivation strategies, supports donor relationships, and manages multiple deadlines and projects independently.

Conduct impact litigation and advocacy in the national security context. Responsibilities include legal research, fact development, drafting memoranda and court filings, interviewing clients and witnesses, discovery and trial support, public education, affiliate assistance, intern coordination, public speaking, and related projects.

Provide litigation support for the Program on Freedom Religion and Belief: cite-check, format, and proof documents; conduct legal and factual research (including Westlaw); assist with discovery, docket/calendar management, depositions preparation, and correspondence; track legislation; maintain files and public information; receive legal assistance requests and support program projects and outreach.
