Leads Minnesota legislative and regulatory advocacy to improve cancer patient policy outcomes. Builds relationships with policymakers, coalitions, agencies, and stakeholders; develops advocacy strategies, policy materials, and testimony; manages legislative campaigns, grassroots mobilization, consultants, communications, compliance, and reporting. Represents ACS CAN publicly and coordinates with state, local, and national teams. This remote role requires regular presence at Minnesota’s state capital and travel up to 20%.

Supports California tobacco control policy efforts through community outreach, education, grassroots organizing, data collection, stakeholder engagement, earned media, coalition meetings, and local advocacy events. Responsibilities include conducting surveys and interviews, researching tobacco policies and decision makers, preparing educational materials, attending city council meetings, collecting petitions, tracking outreach outcomes, and educating stakeholders about cancer-related policies.

Plan and execute grassroots advocacy and volunteer programs across assigned New England states. Recruit, train, and manage volunteers and volunteer leaders; develop and run local, state, and federal advocacy campaigns; support volunteer fundraising; coordinate events and coalition partnerships; maintain digital outreach and databases (e.g., Salesforce); and ensure compliance with lobbying and legal requirements.
