The role is based at the American Angus Association headquarters and includes some travel and weekend work.

Responsibilities include interviewing beef producers, writing news and feature stories, editing and proofreading, supporting magazine production and editorial planning, managing a column, covering industry events, and creating multimedia storytelling content. The intern will attend industry events and contribute to daily information gathering and digital content development.

Summer communications internship creating stories, news releases, promotional materials, photos, videos, graphic designs, and social media content for the American Angus Association. The intern will support brand-aligned marketing projects, develop content for publications and events, assist with National Junior Angus Show social media strategy, and gain experience in agricultural and livestock-related communications, public relations, photography, videography, interviewing, and content planning.

Creates marketing communications plans, content, promotional materials, news releases, and multimedia campaigns; manages projects; analyzes markets, campaigns, and customer data; and supports brand awareness, loyalty, and market share growth.

Leads business development and customer adoption of genetic solutions across the global beef industry. Builds relationships with customers, industry organizations, and strategic partners; oversees customer-facing functions; supports product delivery; manages recruitment, engagement, and retention; monitors budgets and business performance; advises leadership and the board; represents AGI externally; and develops high-performing teams.
