Establishes production standards, line balances, labor and material requirements, plant layouts, and assembly workstation arrangements. Monitors production line speed, supports engineering changes and make-versus-buy studies, interfaces with government stakeholders, and applies Lean Six Sigma and ISO tools. The role works across office and manufacturing environments, requires problem-solving and cross-functional coordination, and involves moderate travel.

Develops and updates diagnostic troubleshooting and fault-isolation procedures for military vehicle systems in paper and interactive technical manuals. Researches engineering specifications, interprets technical data, induces and observes vehicle-system failures, analyzes diagnostic codes and serial data, documents failure modes, and validates procedures down to field-level repair parts. The role also ensures MIL-STD and contractual compliance, photographs vehicle components, and incorporates validation and editorial feedback. Up to 25% travel may be required.

Leads quality engineering for automotive and defense vehicle programs, establishing product standards, managing APQP, PFMEAs, control plans, testing, audits, corrective actions, and quality systems. Partners with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and government representatives to improve production quality and process robustness. Coaches Quality Engineers and supports product development, engineering changes, production trials, and quality approvals while ensuring compliance with IATF 16949, ISO, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
