Leads lab-in-the-loop biology programs that connect experimental design with machine learning model development. Oversees closed-loop experiments, model-output verification, perturbation studies, data generation, assay and model-system development, automation, metadata standards, CRO and vendor relationships, budgets, and cross-functional collaboration. Builds and mentors technical teams while aligning experimental and computational groups across a matrixed biotech organization.

Conduct membrane and lipid biochemistry research supporting brain aging and neurodegeneration programs. Design protein expression constructs, perform mammalian recombinant expression and purification, reconstitute membrane proteins, prepare cryo-EM samples, and characterize protein purity, stability, binding kinetics, activity, and oligomerization. Develop assays and SOPs, document experiments rigorously, troubleshoot independently, manage multiple priorities, and coordinate with CROs for material generation and analysis.

Leads CRO strategy, selection, onboarding, governance, and oversight for outsourced preclinical and translational studies. Manages KOL identification, advisory boards, consulting agreements, vendor negotiations, budgets, quality and compliance, study timelines, data delivery, and risk mitigation. Partners cross-functionally with scientific, legal, procurement, finance, and program teams to translate research objectives into executable study plans and integrate external scientific insights into drug development, IP, clinical, and regulatory strategies.
