Teams at Alternative Wellness Services Inc

Provides nonclinical, recovery-oriented peer support to individuals receiving Behavioral Health Home services. Uses lived experience to offer encouragement, advocacy, mentoring, wellness planning, and connections to community resources. Supports self-directed goals, independence, and community engagement while coordinating with care teams and documenting services in an EHR. This part-time, community-based role requires regular travel throughout the Portland and Biddeford areas, occasional evening availability, and physical mobility in varied environments.

Lead agency-wide continuous quality improvement initiatives: conduct clinical chart audits, coach staff, develop policies and documentation standards, monitor quality metrics, ensure MaineCare and behavioral health regulatory compliance, coordinate incident reporting, train staff, and partner with leadership to improve organizational performance and client outcomes.
