Lead customer transmission projects from initial request through Alberta Utilities Commission approval. Responsibilities include defining scope, budget, schedule, and requirements; coordinating multidisciplinary internal teams, customers, AESO, consultants, and contractors; managing risks, costs, quality, compliance, and schedules; preparing connection and facility applications; supporting regulatory proceedings; reporting project status; and transitioning approved projects to delivery teams.

The role supports maintenance planning, equipment status reporting, capital upgrades, emergency response, safe work planning, new substation technologies, and mentoring apprentices. Candidates must have electrical technologist training, strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, safety awareness, physical fitness, a valid Class 5 driver’s license, and willingness to work at heights, in adverse weather, out of town, and on call.

Manages financial controls for AltaLink’s transmission project portfolio, including estimates, forecasts, budgets, billings, accruals, invoices, change orders, and closeout. Maintains project data in SAP, prepares capital cost reports, validates forecasts, supports regulatory and governance compliance, and coordinates with project managers, schedulers, procurement, finance, contractors, and EPCM providers. The role also provides quality assurance, coaches junior analysts, and supports project and program reviews.
