Owns the technical health and performance of assigned natural gas and midstream assets. Leads troubleshooting, technical risk management, capital planning, reliability improvements, process safety activities, incident response, engineering governance, and project technical assurance. Partners with field leadership and project teams to operate assets safely, reliably, and sustainably. The role is office-based in Grande Prairie with regular travel to operating sites.

Supports commodity market risk management through risk reporting, exposure and P&L analysis, compliance reviews, reconciliation, and independent validation. Uses ETRM systems, dashboards, Excel, Power BI, and SQL to analyze pricing and transactional data. Collaborates with commercial, finance, treasury, operations, IT, and audit teams; maintains Allegro reference data; supports system enhancements; and communicates market risk movements and drivers across multiple energy commodities.

Supports environment, health, and safety programs at AltaGas’s Slave Lake facility. Responsibilities include employee and contractor training, certification tracking, incident investigations, inspections, audits, safety procedure development, emergency response preparedness, contractor safety, regulatory compliance, risk assessments, and safety support for projects, turnarounds, and operations. The role also facilitates safety meetings, maintains safety records, and promotes continuous improvement and a strong safety culture.
