Inspects food service establishments, residences, businesses, and public facilities for compliance with sanitation and environmental health laws. Investigates foodborne illness, contamination, pollution, and public health complaints; reviews construction plans; issues permits and corrective orders; collects samples; prepares reports; coordinates with state agencies; provides public education; and may testify in hearings or court.

Prepares and serves balanced meals for residents in a 24/7 residential facility. Maintains meal records, food inventory, and ordering; cleans kitchen areas and utensils; follows court security procedures; trains residents and staff in kitchen duties; and supports the food service supervisor as needed.

Provides indigent defense and legal services, including legal research, client advisement, investigations, courtroom advocacy, trial litigation, and representation at all levels of trial court proceedings. The role also coordinates with departments, supervises interns and volunteers, supports recruitment, updates procedures, and contributes to departmental leadership and operations.
