Design, implement, and evaluate applied research projects to improve alignment, safety, and evaluation of LLM-based guardrails. Work on experiments (e.g., synthetic data quality metrics, explanations for blocked content), deliver results with mentor guidance, and present findings to the team to shape product capabilities.

The Applied Research Scientist will develop evaluation methods for Large Language Models, create synthetic data techniques, and collaborate with product teams to integrate AI solutions into Alinia's Alignment Platform.

The internship involves analyzing regulatory requirements, optimizing compliance models, and collaborating with AI researchers to enhance regulatory guardrails.
