The Staff Accountant manages general ledger activity, accounts payable and receivable, cash disbursements, reconciliations, payroll support, and financial close processes. The role also supports grant and fund accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, audits, tax preparation, vendor records, and compliance with nonprofit accounting standards. This position collaborates with finance, program, administrative, vendor, donor, funder, and auditor stakeholders while maintaining accurate, confidential financial records.

Processes and records incoming payments, deposits, revenue transactions, and donor activity. Reconciles cash logs, bank deposits, payment processor reports, donation databases, and accounting systems. Ensures accurate fund coding, documentation, donor restrictions, pledge fulfillment, policy compliance, and timely tax receipts. Provides support to employees, managers, donors, and customers while maintaining confidential records and filing systems.

Support planning and leading outdoor, educational, and recreational activities for teens. Assist with weekly schedules, daily programming, attendance and meal records, safety supervision, mentoring, and program improvements. Part-time after-school position with occasional weekends; training provided.
