Supervise and develop workers’ compensation claims staff while ensuring accurate, timely, compliant claims handling. The role oversees quality assurance, workload balancing, performance management, regulatory compliance, customer service, process improvement, and collaboration with regional and divisional leaders. The supervisor also participates in organizational projects, manages change, and supports succession planning.

Provides enterprise-level loss control expertise for complex, high-severity insurance risks. Partners with underwriting, business development, agencies, and policyholders on risk selection, pre-bind evaluations, pricing, and service strategies. Interprets portfolio assessment data, conducts advanced industrial hygiene evaluations, develops technical standards and training, mentors loss control professionals, and leads cross-regional initiatives. Supports growth in an emerging territory while advancing consistency, technical quality, and enterprise risk management.

Evaluates and prices commercial insurance accounts within assigned authority, balancing risk selection, profitability, growth, and producer relationships. Partners with business development teams and agencies, presents proposals, addresses underwriting concerns, and supports retention and new business goals. Acts as a subject matter expert while training, mentoring, and coaching underwriting staff. Requires advanced commercial lines underwriting expertise, strong communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to resolve complex business issues.
